About

About Lauren Boyd

Chiropractic care for every age

Lauren treats men and women of all ages, from newborns to the elderly. People come to her with lower back pain, sciatica and lumbar disc problems, neck and arm pain, whiplash injuries, thoracic and mid-back pain, headaches and migraines, frozen shoulder and tennis elbow, carpal tunnel and pins and needles in the hands or feet, poor posture from desk work, and sports injuries. Each treatment plan begins with a detailed history and examination, so the care is matched to the person rather than the complaint.

Why I became a chiropractor

I have committed my career to helping people regain their health and vitality and live life to their full potential. I work with all age groups, from newborn to the elderly, seeing both male and female clients. Our brain and body are in constant communication through the nervous system, and common problems such as lower back pain, neck pain or even knee pain often trace back to how the body is functioning as a whole. Using detailed analysis and examination, I build a treatment plan around you. My philosophy is to not only fix the problem but to address its cause.

Pregnancy and postnatal care

Pregnancy changes your body week by week, and back pain, pelvic pain and sciatica are common companions along the way. For patients who are pregnant, Lauren provides gentle, drug-free care adapted to each trimester, using positions and techniques that are comfortable and appropriate as your body changes. She has a particular passion for helping women stay active and comfortable right up to birth.

The postnatal months bring their own strains: feeding postures, carrying a growing baby, disturbed sleep and a body recovering from birth. Lauren helps new mothers rebuild comfort and function, addressing back pain, neck tension and pelvic issues that often get pushed aside in the busyness of new parenthood. She has worked alongside midwives to help breastfeeding mothers and their babies feed more effectively, and remains passionate about care for mothers at every stage. Expecting a baby now, or caring for one? The clinic also provides gentle chiropractic care for babies and children themselves.

Education and experience

Lauren studied at AECC University College in the UK, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Sciences followed by a postgraduate Master’s in Chiropractic, credentials listed with the Emirates Chiropractic Association, and earned a high achiever’s scholarship for results in the top 15 per cent of her year across five years. After graduating she practised in Jersey in the Channel Islands before returning to Dubai, the city where she grew up. She has experience treating both amateur and competitive athletes, across rugby, football and motorsport, focusing on the longevity of the body and how it performs and recovers over time. She works with patients of all ages and continues to travel to chiropractic seminars to expand her clinical knowledge.

Good to know

Common questions

Lauren treats men and women of all ages, from newborns to the elderly. People commonly see her for low back pain, sciatica and disc problems, neck pain, headaches and whiplash, shoulder, elbow and hand complaints, posture and desk strain, and sports injuries. Care through pregnancy and after birth is a particular interest rather than the limit of her practice.

Your first visit begins with a detailed history and physical assessment, so Lauren understands your symptoms, history and goals before any treatment. Treatment is then matched to you, with practical advice on sleep positions, movement and simple exercises. If you are pregnant, every technique and position is adapted to your stage. You remain fully in control throughout, and nothing is done without being explained first.

Yes, when provided by a chiropractor experienced in prenatal care. Lauren adapts every technique to your stage of pregnancy, using gentle methods and supportive positioning so there is no pressure on your bump. Treatment is drug-free, which many expectant mothers particularly value. Everything starts with a careful assessment of you and your history.

You can be assessed at any stage. Some women come early to stay ahead of back and pelvic pain, others in the second or third trimester when discomfort peaks as posture and load change. If pain is affecting your sleep, walking or daily activities at any point, it is worth an assessment. No referral is needed and same-day appointments are often available.

Yes. Postnatal patients commonly see Lauren for back and pelvic pain, neck and shoulder tension from feeding and carrying, and general recovery as the body resettles after birth. Care is gentle and tailored to how you delivered and how you are healing. Lauren has also worked alongside midwives supporting breastfeeding mothers, so feeding-related strain is familiar territory.
