Expert Physiotherapy Team

Comprehensive Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Therapy Services:

Our expert physiotherapy team in Dubai is dedicated to providing cutting-edge physiotherapy and rehabilitation services.

For spinal issues, such as back-pain, sciatica, neck pain and headaches, your Chiropractor may recommend physiotherapy to complement your chiropractic care. In this case, the physiotherapy team will follow the treatment protocol advised by your Chiropractor.

For extra-spinal issues, such as pain in one of the joints, like the shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee or ankle, you may be referred by your chiropractor, or you may go directly to one of our physiotherapists.

In either case, the physiotherapist will undertake various healing therapies to speed up your complete recovery. Physiotherapy treatment can consist of manual therapy, mobilisation, exercise programs and the application of our high tech Zimmer equipment, which delivers a combination of ultrasound and electro-stimulation therapies. Each patient receives the correct therapy related to his or her condition at each stage of healing.

This treatment assists the rehabilitation process by developing and restoring body systems, in particular the neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems, enabling patients to enjoy pain-free movement and improved function as soon as possible.

Physiotherapy, often referred to as physical therapy, is a healthcare profession that focuses on restoring and maintaining physical function, mobility, and overall well-being. It uses a combination of manual techniques, exercises, and modalities to help individuals recover from injuries, manage pain, and improve their physical abilities.
Physiotherapists assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of physical problems and conditions. They create personalised treatment plans to help individuals regain or improve their physical function and quality of life. This may include exercises, manual therapy, education, and advice on injury prevention.
Physiotherapy can be beneficial for a variety of conditions, including musculoskeletal injuries, neurological disorders, respiratory issues, post-surgery rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain. It is also used for pre- and postnatal care, and to address issues related to posture and ergonomics.
Physiotherapy is widely recognised as an effective and evidence-based approach to managing and rehabilitating a range of physical conditions. The effectiveness of physiotherapy often depends on the individual’s condition, the severity of the issue, and their commitment to following the prescribed treatment plan.
In many cases, you can see a physiotherapist without a doctor’s referral. However, in some cases, a doctor’s referral may be required for insurance or other specific reasons.
The duration of a physiotherapy session can vary, but it typically lasts around 20 minutes. The length of the session will depend on your specific needs, the assessment, and the treatment plan.
Yes, physiotherapy is often used to manage and alleviate pain. Physiotherapists can employ a variety of techniques, such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities like heat or cold therapy, to reduce pain and improve overall function.
Physiotherapy is suitable for individuals of all ages, including children and the elderly. It can address various health issues specific to each age group, such as developmental concerns in children and age-related conditions in the elderly.
Physiotherapy is generally a safe and non-invasive approach to healthcare. While minor soreness or discomfort can occur, it is often part of the healing process. Serious side effects are rare but should be discussed with your physiotherapist if they occur.
Physiotherapy is often used in conjunction with other medical treatments, including medication, surgery, or chiropractic care. Collaboration between healthcare providers can optimise the overall care and recovery process.
Many health insurance plans provide coverage for physiotherapy services, but coverage can vary by policy. It’s advisable to check with your insurance company to determine the extent of your coverage and any requirements, such as referrals.
  • When the Chiropractor and the physiotherapist are co-managing a case, treatment begins with an endorsement of the patient’s case. This is a brief presentation of the patient’s condition and medical history review between the physiotherapist and the chiropractor.
  • During the treatment, the physiotherapist administers manual techniques and electro-modalities of different programs and techniques depending on the severity of the condition and the patient’s needs.
  • After the treatment, home instructions and advice on proper body mechanics are given.
Yes, when the symptoms have improved. After few treatment sessions, an exercise program is given to the patient.
  • An exercise program is introduced gradually into the treatment protocol with slow and careful progression, depending on the response of the patient to the treatment.
  • But in acute cases, where inflammation is still present, the inflammation and the pain has to be treated first before administering an exercise program.
The physiotherapist will advise you if the exercise program will either be continued, progressed or stopped depending on your response to the exercise program.
