Jake Rhodes, MSc. Chiro
I grew up as an expat in Dubai and while I was at school, I observed the chiropractors at Emirates European Medical Centre. This inspired me to pursue a career in healthcare, as a chiropractor. Attending the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic, the UK’s largest and oldest chiropractic institution, I graduated with a first-class honours degree.
Following a model of holistic and preventative care, I practiced in Manchester, UK, before moving back to Dubai. It seems like I have come full circle, now that I am working for the Emirates European Medical Centre!
I have gained a wealth of experience in the management of various neuromusculoskeletal conditions. I treat patients of all ages, from children through to older adults. I enjoy treating people at all levels of activity, from sedentary desk-workers to athletes. For me, chiropractic care is not only beneficial for freedom from pain, but can also be used to achieve optimal function.
Believing that each patient should be managed as an individual, I strive to improve your health and guide you towards your goals. How do I do that? A careful and in-depth case history highlights the various factors affecting you. Then follows a detailed bio-mechanical assessment of structure and movement. These steps enable me to get to the root cause of your symptoms and create an individual plan of management.
Continuously building on my skills, I have taken post-graduate seminars in functional muscle testing, extremity adjusting and Gonstead technique. My particular areas of interest include sporting injuries, postural correction and headache management.
I maintain a healthy lifestyle by eating a balanced diet and staying active. Regularly cycling, playing golf and rugby, I am taking advantage of all the sporting activities Dubai has to offer!
