Pregnancy Nutrition Doesn’t Have To Be Overwhelming

By Simran Nijhawan

Pregnancy comes with a flood of nutrition advice,  and it can feel like you’re expected to eat “perfectly” or even “eat for two” all the time. But let’s simplify it.

Instead of overloading your plate or stressing over every food choice, focus on a few key nutrients that make a big difference for both you and your baby:

Omega-3 fats (found in flaxseeds, walnuts, or supplements)
→ Crucial for baby’s brain, nervous system, and eye development

Calcium (dairy, leafy greens, fortified milk)
→ Helps form strong bones and teeth for both mum and baby

Protein (eggs, lentils, fish, tofu)
→ Supports growth, energy, and healthy tissue development

Magnesium (seeds, leafy greens, beans)
→ May reduce cramps, improve sleep, and aid digestion

Meeting these needs doesn’t require perfection, just a balanced, practical approach.

I will work with you to create a simple, nourishing plan tailored to your lifestyle, cravings, and trimester. Because your pregnancy journey should feel supported, not stressful.
