Take your pick! A slice of whole wheat bread or a chocolate bar?
I’m guessing A bar of chocolate if you don’t really care about losing weight OR being healthy..
And Whole wheat bread if you’re an informed consumer yeah ?
Well, wrong! The effect of both of these is the same on your blood sugar levels.

Wait… hear me out…

LEARNING HOW TO CONTROL AND STABILIZE YOUR BLOOD SUGAR AND INSULIN LEVELS IS THE BEST THING YOU CAN DO FOR YOUR BODY

According to my current research, having a slice of whole wheat bread or white bread will raise your sugar levels as much as one tbsp. of sugar would.

stay away from sugary foods

But If I look at other research, the situation is worse that we can imagine. I’m quoting a cardiologist here Dr. William Davis. Now he is a “cardiologist” someone who should believe in the power of whole grains and how it’s good for your heart and body! Here’s what he says:
“Aside from extra fiber, eating 2 slices of whole wheat bread is really different and often worse, than drinking a can of sugar sweetened soda or eating a sugary candy bar” This extract is taken directly from his book.

I never believe research/ health experts or doctors until or unless I’ve actually tried and tested their research on myself first and then on my clients. I actually have a lot my personal client’s blood work that proves how much their internal biochemistry has changed along with losing fat when they go without processed bread/ wheat in their diet. So I’m talking HbA1’c, fasting insulin, thyroid levels, Uric acid, lipid profile etc. Eating whole good food and eating according to what your body really needs is so powerful and often under rated!

Get your facts right, be a more informed consumer and know your food better than you think you do!
